I have gone to Australia, Europe, and Costa Rica as a student ambassador with People to People International to represent the United States. President Eisenhower created People to People in the wake of World War II in order for students to gain a better understanding of a multitude of cultures to promote world peace.

While in Australia, I had the opportunity to meet with local students, speak with politicians, volunteer at a national park, and stay on a self sustaining farm.

In Europe, we spoke with a member of the British Parliament and stayed on a national park in Tuscany, Italy.

I gave donations to and met orphans, stayed with a host family, and met students in Costa Rica.

Being a student ambassador has opened my eyes to the world and made me a global minded citizen. Along with meeting some of my best friends, I have been exposed to many different cultures and ways of life as well as become a more accepting person.
